Boys Modified Team Catch the latest reports from Coach Glashauser on the modified teams resultsCheck out results spreadsheet 10/20 - Continued Improvement at Weedsport Invitational The boys' modified team continued their 2007 campaign on Saturday in Weedsport with another successful weekend. The boys showed continued improvement and are starting to close the gap between schools such as FM and Central Square. The Bees were once again led by a monster effort from Connor Martin, who earned a 10th place T-shirt. Joe Delia followed him home with a very fast time of 9:51.8 on the muddy terrain. Pat Colligan (22), John Matthews (33), and Drew Biederman (38) finished the scoring for the Bees. Nate LoParco had a fantastic start and finish to his race to come in 59th, while Justin Dalaba continued to show tremendous improvement and finished just behind Nate in 63rd position. The little engine that could, better known as Brandon McArdell, almost ran his fastest 1.5 mile time ever; quite an achievement given the difficulty of the course. Matt Purdy finished strong for the Bees as did Justin Allen and Jeremiah Johnson. Those three boys continue to push each other and, as a result, continue to see improvement each and every week. Pat Salerno closed out the Bees efforts for the day with a smile on his face. He has come a long way since the first day of practice and hopefully he will continue his progress. Get well wishes to Matt Noll, the team misses you and hopes you are feeling better. 10/13 - Bees Fly in Cato The Bees scored their first invitational win of the season at the Cato Invitational. The Bees were led by Connor Martin, Pat Colligan, John Matthews, Joe Delia, and first time scorer Drew Biederman. The Bees effort helped them out leg home team Cato, as well as Jordan Elbridge, Hannibal and Port Byron. With no meet this Wednesday the boys will be putting in a hard week of practice as they look to repeat this past Saturday’s performance this coming Saturday in Weedsport. 10/10 - Bees Stung by Hornets and RFA The Boys modified were dealt another difficult blow, but it did not come without major success along the way. The 13 member boys’ team had 12 boys finish the race with new home course personal records. As a team they ran faster than they have all year, and for that they should be extremely proud looking forward. Justin Allen PR’d by 27 seconds, Drew Biederman by 27 seconds, Pat Colligan by 24 seconds, Justin Dalaba by 10 seconds, Joe Delia by 5 seconds, Jeremiah Johnson by 2 seconds, Connor Martin by 5 seconds, John Matthews by 9 seconds, Brandon McArdell by 17 seconds, Matt Noll by 1 second, Matt Purdy by a whopping 32 seconds, and Pat Salerno by 18 seconds. Nate LoParco also ran for the Bees and finished 35th overall. As a coach all you can ask of your athletes is for steady improvement, and each boy is doing just that. Great job guys. 10/6 - Bees Swarm to 4th Place Finish in Liverpool A week off from competition proved to be valuable to the Bees as they had a bounce back performance at the Liverpool Invite.
